December 2017 Review

Hi All,

Christmas is coming and the month is rapidly coming to a close!  Wow!  Can you believe it?  It has been a wonderful year; meeting new people, enjoying old friends, visiting exciting new places, working through challenges and rejoicing achievements!  Thanks to you all for your support.  I appreciate you all!

Here are a review of a few fun projects from many classes this year.  Hope you enjoy them!!

Swan Lake Stamp set was used to decorate the Hexagon 3D card made from the Window Box Thinlits.  The box lays flat so it can be mailed in a regular envelope.

We all love the Daisy Delight Stamp set and the punch.  Paired with the clear Tiny Treat Boxes you have a cute gift to give to anyone.  This will brighten their day!

It was fun adapting the Retiform technique using the new stamp sets Gourd Goodness from the Holiday Catalog and the Seasonal Layers Thinlits from the Annual Catalog.

Musical Season is a beautiful stamp set!  Open the filigree bar to reveal the sentiment, then flip the card upwards to view the inside!

Looking forward to Valentine's Day, who wouldn't love a box of Chocolates!  So many choices to make with the More Than Chocolate stamp set.  Can't wait to receive my Stamparatus and try this stamp set with the new tool!  It will make placement of all the chocolates devine.

Thank you all for asking about Isaac!  These recent pictures show how much he has grown.  He just turned 3 years of age and is now 1 year out from chemotherapy treatments for Acute Myloid Leukemia. He is cancer free!  WooHoo!

Thanks all for stopping by.  These are a few of the fun projects we made this year. May you have a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year!  I'll see you soon!    Kathy

Christmas Cracker's!

Hi All!  Christmas Cracker's are so much fun to make.  They are a quick and easy gift.  Below is a quick tutorial to make these fun gifts.  Fill them with your favorite treat.  Two Ferrero Rocher Hazelnut Chocolates are a perfect fit!  Have fun!  Kathy

Start with a 6" x 6" piece of Designer paper.  Score one side at 1 3/8", 2 3/4", 4 1/8" and 5 1/2" on your Stampin' Score board or other scoring tool.  I'm using Crumb Cake cardstock so you can see the lines.

Quarter turn your 6" x 6" paper and score at 1", 1 1/2", 2", 4", 4 1/2" and 5".  Fold all scored lines.

Fold the first scored lines and secure the tab using Fast Fuse.  Your "tube" will look like this.

Place your "tube" on your Envelope punch board and measure over to the 1 1/2" line.  Punch.  Flip around to the other side, measure to 1 1/2" and punch again.

Continue punching each folded side until each side has been punched and looks like this.

Push the ends together and you will have your cracker shape!  If you have trouble, just fold the scored lines a little more.  Tie one 8" ribbon on one side of the cracker.  Add your treats and tie the other side with another 8" ribbon.

Make your gift tag and you have a wonderful treat!   Have fun!  Kathy

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!  I hope you had a great day!  Here is a little card I made for OnStage in San Diego.  I hope you like it.  It uses two sets from the Occasions Catalog.  Both will be in the new Annual Catalog!  The technique for the dragonfly is the Baby Wipe technique used with Pacific Point and Emerald Envy reinkers.

Spring is Here!

Here is a fun card using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. The technique is Watercolor Wash. Stamp the dragonfly image on Shimmery cardstock using Versamark ink and emboss with Clear embossing powder.  Once the embossing powder is cooled,  wet the Shimmery cardstock with water using a aqua painter and float your ink colors on the water.  Use your reinkers for this.  The technique will give the paper a watercolor look and the embossed images will resist the water.  Allow to dry.  Don't blot the Shimmery cardstock with a paper towel or the ink will absorb into the paper towel!  Once dry, you can cut it with the stitched framelits and adhere to your card!

Have fun!  Kathy

Have a wonderful week!  Kathy

February Valentine's Cards

February is a time to remember our loved ones by sending them cards and treats that say "I Love You!".  Here are a few projects to celebrate the day.  The stamp set used is Sealed with Love along with the Love Notes Framelit Dies listed on page 14 in the new Occasions Catalog.  The decorative paper is also coordinated with this stamp set.  For every purchase of $50.00 before ship and tax, you can also add one free product from the Sale-a-bration catalog.  Both catalogs are listed at the left.  Order them today!!

Inspired from Becky Roberts and Cindy Brumbaugh

To make this cute gift box you need two sheets of 6" x 6" designer paper.

  • Note the direction of your print and score the first line on your 6" x 6" piece of designer paper at 3/4".  This will  be the top of the treat bag.  On the remaining three sides of the 6" x 6" paper, score each side at 1 ½”.  Do this on the second piece of 6" x 6" paper also.
  • Fold all the scored lines and fold down the top portion.  Add Tear and Tape adhesive and connect both    parts of the box together.  The sides will overlap.
  • Cut the base scored lines so that you will create a base.  Add Tear and Tape and secure.  There is your  box!
  • Punch holes in the top and add the 8” ribbon.
  • Punch the top of the 2” x 3” piece of Whisper White c/s using the Tag Topper punch.  Add all the embellishments to the front of the tag and secure with mini  glue dots.
  • Add the tag onto the box using the ribbon and a staple.
  • You can add a 1 ½” x 3” piece of cardstock at the bottom of the box if you want.  Fill with treats!

I hope you will try these treats and have fun giving them to your love ones!  Enjoy!
