March Paper Pumpkin cards and alternatives!

Our Paper Pumpkin class was so much fun!  Here are the cards we made and some alternatives.  Please leave a comment below if you want to join our Paper Pumpkin Zoom class next month, April!

The card on the right is the original version.  The card on the left uses the back of one of the circle pieces and is stamped with Hello.  The card in the back is in landscape mode and then stamped.  I changed to the smaller hummingbird cutouts too.

Here are two alternatives using the Thank you cards.  The first is stamped with the flower stamp using Going Gray ink and using one of the medium sized hummingbirds.  The card on the right is a portrait orientation.  You will only stamp the garden stamp three times instead of four.  The smaller hummingbirds are used.  Cute!

Here are three cards using the largest hummingbird.  The card on the left is a gift card, with a 4 1/4" × 4 1/4" opening.   An envelope was used for the blue paper.  One piece is cut at 4"×4" and the other is cut at 1"x 4".  The card on the right is stamped with the garland stamp and the birthday sentiment.  No extra cardstock needed!  The card in the back uses the back of the white rectangle.  Stamp with the Birthday Wishes stamp and add the hummingbird cutout above it.
Here is a card that uses Coastal Cabana cardstock for the base.  The front gray card base was cut to 4" x 5 1/4" and added to the front.  This is also in landscape orientation.

The last card is a Z fold card.  Fold the card on the scored line with the outside areas are now on the inside of the card.  Fold one flap back on itself to create a Z fold.  Stamp the Z fold area and add the Thank You and hummingbird using dimensionals. Add a piece of 3 3/4" x 4 1/4" envelope paper to the inside.  Add one small hummingbird using dimensionals.  Finish with a sentiment from your stash of stamps.

I hope you enjoy this kit!  K

February Paper Pumpkin alternatives!

 Hi all,

February's Paper Pumpkin kit was so fun to do!  The Easter images were cute and the sentiments can be used for other Easter cards you make.  Below are the original cards we made and the alternatives!  I hope you like them.

Each month, I have a Paper Pumpkin Zoom get together.  We make our cards together and enjoy each others friendships.  Do you want to join in?  Please comment below and I will add you to my invite list.  Do you want to start your subscription to Paper Pumpkin?  Click here to log in and subscribe to Paper Pumpkin! Once subscribed, I will add you to my Zoom invite.

This cute Easter bunny is the first one to make using the instructions in the kit.  Everything is provided for you and the instructions are easy to read.  If you have adhesive, you can add the adhesive to the back of the front panel instead of using mini glue dots.  The rest of the card parts are secured using mini dimensionals and mini glue dots provided.

My first alternative to this design.  I folded the front of the base card in half, or to the scored line to create a stand up card.  This card is horizontal, so the images are added that way too.  The layered panel is then added to the lower part of the card base using Tear and Tape.  The top part is not attached to the card front so it will stand up.  The "Happy Easter" banner is added to the base using dimensionals.

This second card is so sweet!  The colors are soft and you can use this card for events other than Easter.  The instructions are easy to follow.

My alternative to the second card is making it a Z fold card!  So easy with this card.  Fold the card so that what is normally the inside of the card is now the outside of the card.  All the green color will be on the inside of the card.  Take the card front and fold it back on itself to the scored line to create a Z fold.  This is what you see.  The inside of the card is now visible!  So cool!  Stamp the stitched white square and add it to the folded edge using dimensionals.  Add the leaves and flowers to the front panel using dimensionals.  Add a pink thread bow to the front using a mini glue dot.  Stamp the inside of the panel using the Easter sentiment.  Hope you will try it.

This is the third card in the set.  A quick hint.  Place the cutout eggs in the basket before adding it to the card front.  Also, don't forget to stamp the grass first!  The rest is in the instructions.

My alternative for this card is simple.  I took the eggs out of the inside of the basket and added them to the front instead.  Then I moved the tag and filled in with the stamped egg and flowers.  It is a cute change to this card.

Hope you enjoyed these alternatives!  K
