Country Home Stamp Set

On page 43 in the new Holiday Catalog is a beautiful stamp set called Country Home.  The images are perfect for this time of year.  This set does not have any framelits, so you have to fussy cut the images or use the images as pictured below.   On page 38 in the Holiday Catalog is also a great stamp called Buffalo Check.  What a fun background stamp!  You can stamp it as is, or draw lines vertically and horizontally to make more plaids.  Plaids are so in this year!   Hope you enjoy these cards. This card uses the Galvanized paper and Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder located on pg. 43 in the Holiday Catalog.  Use Light Smokey Slate, Light and Dark Old Olive, Calypso Coral and Light Rich Razzleberry Blends for coloring.  

Buffalo Check is a fabulous background stamp.  This example is Crushed Curry stamped on So Saffron cardstock.  The color for the pitcher is Daffodil Delight Blend.  Did you notice this is the same layout as the one above, but so different?

Still Night Stamped Cards

Fall is in the air!  One of my favorite stamp sets this fall is the Still Night Clear Mount Stamp Set.  The image of the owl is awesome and the thinlit dies are terrific.  Here are a few of the cards I have made using this set.  They are all similar in that they use the same papers and general concept.  The difference is the card technique.

This card front is a simple, but very nice layout. The card base is Sahara Sand cardstock.  The remaining cardstock is Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Basic Black.  Ink:  Memento Black.  Blends are: Crumb Cake, Ivory, and Smokey Slate and light Pineapple Punch.

 But, wait!  Look at the inside of this card!  It is a shadow box card!  Want to know how to make this?  Read on!

The next card is very similar, but uses the folded corner technique.  Sahara Sand cardstock has been omitted and a leaf embellishment used.

Coming Soon at the NM State Fair!

The New Mexico State Fair is right around the corner and we are working hard to make sure the displays in the Creative Arts sections of Rubber stamping and Scrap booking are looking fabulous!
The entries have been received and judging done.

Fair dates are September 6th through the 16th!  The displays are in the Creative Arts Building, south of the Manual Lujan Building.  I will be doing demonstrations from 1-3 pm on Tuesday, September 11th and Thursday, September 13th.  Friday the 14th's demonstration will be from 11 - 2 pm.  I will be showing some tricks and tips for the Stamparatus and tips and tricks for dimensional cards highlighting the new Holiday Catalog stamp sets and accessories!

4th of July Card

Hi all!  Here is a great little card using the new Layering Alphabet Edgelit Dies. 

Card Measurements and instructions:

Card Base: Whisper White 5 ½" x 8 ½" scored at 4 ¼ - fold 

Die cut each letter from the cardstock length that is not 4”.  The Whisper White is 4” x 4” so it doesn’t matter!

                Letter J: Blueberry Bushel 4” x 4 ¾” 

                Letter U: Real Red 4” x 5”

                Letter L: Whisper White 4” x 4”

                Letter Y: Real Red 4” x 4 ½”

Layer the letters to form the word July.  Adhere each one together using Snail.  The first two letters will match perfectly together.  The last two letters need to be adjusted to finish the word July.  This was done so the card layering would not be too thick.  The finished length of the layered letters will measure 4" x 5 1/4".   Add to the front of your folded Whisper White card base using Snail. 

On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp Happy Birthday from Southern Serenade stamp set using Blueberry Bushel ink.  Die cut this piece using the Stitched Circle die. 

Die cut 3 Dazzling Diamonds or Silver Glimmer paper stars from the Wooden Crate  star framelit. Add the stars and circle to the front of your card using dimensionals.

St. Patrick's Day Rainbow Card

Easter Bunny!

Happy Valentine's Day to you all!  I hope you have a wonderful day.  

Today, I want to share with you a cute bunny card for Easter!  

This cute little guy uses the new Sweet Little Something Stamp set.  The bunny is stamped with Crumb Cake ink, then Soft Suede ink and finally with Early Espresso ink.  Lining up the stamp images is easy using the new Stamparatus!  The Powder Pink card base is cut to 5 1/2" x 8" and scored at 4 1/4".  This will give you a slimmer card front.  You can line up the Soft Suede layer that measures 3 1/4" x 5 1/2" on the edge.  The Whisper White cardstock measures 3" x 5 1/4".  Do you see the little Wild Wasabi grass?  It comes from the new Picnic Basket Builder framelits.  Tie a Powder Pink bow around the grass and you have one very cute card!  The inside of the card is below.

Valentine's, Valentine's, Valentine's Cards Too!

Another two cards for Valentine's Day!  

This beautiful Card uses the More than Chocolate Stamp set from the Annual Catalog.  The inside has a pocket so you can add a gift card!  Yeah!  The card base measures 4 1/4" x 11" and is scored at 2" and 5 1/2".  The 2" score line is folded inward, and punched only half way in using the Label Punch.  The sides are closed with Tear and Tape.  This will give you a gift card pocket.  The front layers are: Early Espresso 4" x 3 1/4" and the Painted with Love Designer paper measures 3" x 3 3/4".  The ink is Early Espresso, and the candies are colored in with the Blends.  Add a ribbon, and your sentiment inside and and you have a wonderful card to send.  Enjoy!

The new stamp set, Petal Palette works for so many different events!  I used the banner from Sure Do Love You stamp set to create a fun birthday card.  I hope you will make some of these cards for your special Valentine!  Check back for the next group of Valentines!  K

Don't you love this card! 

The base is Powder Pink cardstock and it is cut at 4 ¼” x 8 ¼”, scored at 1 3/8”, 2 ¾”, 5 ½” and 6 7/8”.  The Whisper White cardstock measures 4" x 2 1/2".  The front panel is 1 1/4" x 5 1/2", with the designer paper cut at 1" x 5 1/4".  Attach the panel at each end of the card.  The stamp bundle is: #145966 - Sure Do Love You stamps and Lots of Love Box Framelit Dies.  The beautiful DSP is #145580 - Painted with Love Specialty DSP.  Ink colors used are Flirty Flamingo and Real Red.  The inside heart is embossed with Gold embossing powder.  Beautiful card!    

Another beautiful Card from the Sure Do Love You bundle.  This card uses Watercolor paper and Brusho Crystal Color # 144101 to create the beautiful spotted color effect.  The Powder Pink cardstock measures 5 1/2" x 8" and is scored at 4 1/4".  The Flirty Flamingo cardstock is cut at 3 1/4" x 5 1/2" and the watercolor paper is cut at 3" x 5 1/2".  Add the Flirty Flamingo against the edge of the short side of the card and it will give you a nice finish.  Enjoy!
