Spring is Here!

Here is a fun card using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. The technique is Watercolor Wash. Stamp the dragonfly image on Shimmery cardstock using Versamark ink and emboss with Clear embossing powder.  Once the embossing powder is cooled,  wet the Shimmery cardstock with water using a aqua painter and float your ink colors on the water.  Use your reinkers for this.  The technique will give the paper a watercolor look and the embossed images will resist the water.  Allow to dry.  Don't blot the Shimmery cardstock with a paper towel or the ink will absorb into the paper towel!  Once dry, you can cut it with the stitched framelits and adhere to your card!

Have fun!  Kathy

St. Patrick's Day is next week!  Yikes!  Here is a fun card to make this weekend just in time to send to your family and friends!  The clover is made with the heart punch.  There are two layers on each petal of the clover.  The first set of hearts is to stabilize the clover and the second set of hearts is folded in the middle to create dimension.

Stamp Sets used are:  Work of Art, Banners for You, and Teeny Tiny Wishes - Inks:  Basic Black, Cucumber Crush - Cardstock: Emerald Envy, Gold Foil - Extras:  Heart Punch, Banners framelits, 3/4" circle punch, for the coins, Lace doily, metallic gold ribbon, and rhinestone.  The rhinestone was colored with a green Sharpie marker.

Have a wonderful week!  Kathy
