Salsa Stampers! My Super SALSA downline!

LeeAnne is one of my downline team members who has been stamping and scrapbooking for about 15 years.  She became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator so she could get the products she wanted less expensively.  A couple of things that LeeAnne enjoys most about being a SU! demonstrator is showing other folks what they can do and being able to order what she wants when she wants.

LeeAnne's favorite part of the new catalog is all the stamps because, she says, "...each time I look, I find more to like!".  Her favorite ink colors are Pacific Point and Pool Party because they go with so many other inks and papers.  Her favorite stamp set is Postage Due located on page 108 in the catalog.

Something about LeeAnne that folks might not know is that she keeps trying to get her daughter to scrapbook and enjoy it just half as much as she does...but she thinks it's not going to happen!

Here's one of LeeAnne's cards:

SALSA News! Still seats available for Stamp Camp!

Hello, Salsa Stampers!

Holiday Stamp Camp:  There are still a few seats left in the morning and afternoon sessions of the Holiday Stamp Camp.  We have about 10 seats left for the morning session and about 20 seats left for the afternoon session.  Contact me to get the session of your preference!  Registration closes this Friday -- August 24 -- so don't wait until the last minute!  You won't want to miss this Stamp Camp -- we'll be using products from the Holiday catalog.  We so appreciate our customers -- each attendee will receive a gift!  Plus, for the door prizes, each attending gets a ticket to start and then an extra ticket for several different things.  Check the Info Sheet link on the left for those details.  Hope to see you there!

Tip of the month:  Getting your stamps to stick reliably to the acrylic blocks.  Thanks to another Stampin' Up! demonstrator for this tip.  Use your two way glue pen (100425, page 177) to do a small "doodle" on the gray side of each stamp.  It doesn't take much -- basically just do a squiggly outline of the stamp itself.  Let it dry thoroughly before using.  I think you'll find that the stamps now cling extremely well to the acrylic blocks and don't fall off during stamping.

Did you know?  The Stampin' Up! site has a whole section on techniques!  Check this link out.

Coming soon:  Saturday classes once a month.  More details in the next couple of weeks.

Convention highlights 2012

Going to Convention is such a great part of being a demonstrator.  Since I just got back from Convention, some have asked me why it is so much fun! At Convention, besides having the opportunity to attend informative business classes and enjoying great main stage sessions, there are the friends from all over the US to catch up on their year, the fabulous swaps, walking across stage... yes, that is so much fun!...the display boards, winning prize patrol, getting to tour home office... it's beautiful!... and seeing the larger perspective of Stampin' Up!  Stampin' Up! has over 40,000 demonstrators in the US, and is in Canada, Quebec, New Zealand, Australia, England, France and Germany.  Wow!  This is a great company to be associated with. The theme this year is "I am".  There are so many ways to apply this theme.  Click here to see the highlight video of Convention to see how many I am's there are. http://youtu.be/ShMm7KClGeQ  Here are a few pictures too.

The Ricktar Fortune Machine was fed stamp sets to tell the audience where the Grand Vacation is going to be this year!  Lynn, my roomie and I are sitting on stage with our convention bags and  Shannon was dressed in her Halloween best for her presentation! I took her picture from the large screen and it is a little blurry. Her hair is green and her eyes were lined with cob webs!  So much fun!   Let me know if you want to come next year and I'll tell you how!

SALSA News! Ink Pads

Wow!  Who believes it's the middle of  August, already?

Hope this week finds everyone well and creative!

Holiday Stamp Camp:  A reminder about our Holiday SALSA Stamp Camp coming up Saturday, September 15!  There are still spots available in the morning and afternoon sessions.  Be sure to sign up soon!  Lucky participants will be creating four projects using products from the Holiday Catalog.

New Stampin' Up! ink pad format:  You all know that the Stampin' Up! ink pads changed in composition with the new 2012-2013 Idea Book and Catalog.  They are now a firm foam construction -- quite different from the linen ink pads.  While the foam is firm, it is softer than the linen pads and will feel juicier, too.  The firm foam pads release the ink easier onto your stamp so you'll want to use a more gentle tap-tap-tap on the pads to get them well inked.  For larger stamps, it may work better for you to tap the ink pad onto the stamp, so you can monitor the coverage.  If you are experiencing "over-inking", consider carefully trimming the edges of the stamps a little bit with your craft and rubber scissors. The craft and rubber scissors are listed in the new catalog on page 180.

Something special is coming:  That's all I'm saying right now.

Wednesday Wow!

Wow! It's already Wednesday! Does the week go fast for you? Me too! Today, I have a few cards from Convention that I thought you would enjoy seeing. Convention was a blast!  I would love for you to sign up as a demonstrator and go next year. If you are interested, please email me or visit my website listed below! Thanks for looking!  Happy Stamping! Kathy
"Perfectly Preserved" is the stamp set that was used on the card above.  It is from then new Holiday Catalog!
Framelits that match the stamped images were used to cut out the jar and top.  How simple!  No
cutting required!  Just use the Big Shot and you are done.  The tag was punched out using the new
Little Labels Punch Pack.  You can order these items and more by clicking on my website below.
"Moving Forward" is the new Ronald McDonald stamp set.  Stampin' Up! donates $3.00 to Ronald
McDonald House Charities with every purchase of this stamp set.  The cardstock used here
is Summer Starfruit and Elegant Eggplant.  Add a rhinestone to the flowers and you are done!

This card is from demonstrator Ruth Bingle.  She used the "Everyday Eleanor" stamp set on
Very Vanilla and Soft Suede c/s and Soft Suede ink.  Simple but elegant.
