The Cutest Christmas Card!
Here is the cutest Christmas Card! The outside lays flat, but when you open it up, the card makes a little window diorama! Cute!
Do you want to make this card? Well...here are the dimensions and some instructions.
The cardstock is measures 5 1/2" x 10 1/2". If you want to get two cards from one piece of cardstock, then you need to use a 12" x 12". You won't be able to get two cards from an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock. You can try this card design first on copy paper and then cut your regular cardstock.
Score the cardstock at 1/2", 3 1/2", 4" and 7". I've added a picture below to help you. The dark lines in the pictures are the scored lines.
Next, you will take your window framelit and die cut your window out in the area between the 1/2" scored line and the 3 1/2" scored line. Picture below.
Fold your scored lines and emboss both sides of your cardstock with the Brick embossing folder. The middle panel will not need to be embossed with the Brick folder. Fold your scored lines so that you make a box and the right side of your cardstock will flip in back of the window and wind up on the left side of your card. Look at both the picture above and below to see the difference. Decorate inside the window first before taping.
To finish your card, add tear and tape to the 1/2" scored area. The picture above shows you where to add it and how to lay the card so that the tape will adhere in the right place. Fold the left side of the flap over to make your card. The picture below will help you see what I mean.
You have done it! Congratulations! Decorate the front of your card and you are ready to send it to your family and friends.
This card uses the following: Stamps: Snow Place, Peaceful Pines - Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Snowflake Vellum, Gold Glimmer - Ink: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive - Markers: Tangerine Tango ( for the snowman's nose ) - Framelits: Hearth and Home, Snow Friends, Perfect Pines - Extras: star punch, mini glue dots, Brick embossing folder, Big Shot and lots of love!
Happy Stamping! Kathy
