DIY: Glittered Napkin Technique

Glittered Napkin Technique:

There are several "napkin techniques" out on the web -- I thought I would show you how to do the napkin technique the Stampin’ Up! way! The idea was demonstrated at the Denver Regional in October.  I hope you like it! Kathy

Items you will need:
A cute, store bought paper napkin
Stampin' Up!'s Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, item #120805 $14.95 for a set of 12 sheets.  Each sheet is a 12 x 12.
Vanilla or White c/s
Versamark ink
Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heat tool

General Directions for applying the napkin to the cardstock piece: Choose a napkin with a great design that you like. Cut it ½” larger than the size you want it to end up. Take the white backing layer off of your napkin so that you will use only the napkin part that has the image.

Cut a piece of Vanilla or White c/s to the size you want.  Cut the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet the same size as your piece of cardstock.  Peel one side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet backing off and place it on your cardstock.  Peel the backing off of the other side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and add to your napkin to this side. You will have extra napkin hanging off of your c/s, so trim the sides flush with the cardstock. This is the first step to a beautiful card!

Stamp Versamark ink all over the front of the napkin and add Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and tap off. Heat set until done. You have your glittered napkin image! I hope you have said "WOW!!"

Decorate your card as you want and you are done. You can also use this technique with designer paper. Here is a card using this technique!  I hope you like it.  Kathy
